Mydownlib was designed to be a simple library written for implementing HTTP client capabilities. It supports almost everything needed, included compression (deflate, gzip and compress) and chunks. The package contains also Mydown 0.1a which is a quick example of downloader. Keep in mind that this library has been written mainly for personal usage so it's far from perfect.
